Description and Requirements

As a Global Accounts Service Sales Executive Energy Oil + Gas / Pharma Healthcare (SSE) you will be responsible for selling an expanding services portfolio surrounding Lenovo’s Hardware directly or through existing partner relationships to our EMEA customers within the Energy Oil + Gas as well as the Pharma / Healthcare vertical.

You will be part of the Lenovo Services and Solutions  Group (SSG)  - and will provide horizontal/vertical solutions to our customers within the respective verticals. You will either drive global strategies through those customers' EMEA HQ or will work with their local operational entities in case the HQ is outside of EMEA.

These services include but are not limited to: Device as a Service, Deployment Services, Software, and Cloud Services, Premier Support, Service Contract Upgrades, Protection Services, Migration Services, and Maintenance along with professional services that are required to Design, Deploy and Support Lenovo Solutions. 

This is a client-facing sales role requiring deep industry experience, and the ability to identify, cultivate and close net new business. You have experience in working large/complex deals with a cross-functional team – designing a solution that is the best and most effective fit for your customers' current and future requirements.

You will be reporting to the EMEA Global Account SSG leader.


You will be expected to:

  • Attain revenue and margin goals through driving new business and evangelizing Lenovo’s ever-expanding portfolio of services and solutions. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to take initiative and provide leadership in the growing (managed) services and solution business
  • Drive your own sales calls, while also attending joint calls with sales team members at all levels of the customer organization
  • Work in a matrix set-up and become a trusted services and solutions advisor to your customers and the Lenovo HW sales team within the Energy O+G / Pharma Healthcare Vertical
  • Continuously grow the Lenovo services/solutions share within your designated verticals

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Identify, develop, and close Services and Solution Opportunities within your customer set
  • Develop, implement, and execute an effective sales strategy to achieve sales goals
  • Qualify large opportunities for active pursuit based on the success probability and the intelligent leverage of Lenovo resources 
  • Achieve revenue and profitability objectives for Lenovo while driving growth across multiple services product sets 
  • Develop senior / decision-maker level relationships with the customer and serve as a trusted consultant to them
  • Understand Market Trends, feed those back internally, and by that contribute to Lenovo’s ongoing product and service portfolio developments 
  • Actively educate & engage with colleagues (Global Account Manager, Local Account Manager, extended Account team, Software BDMs,  Solution Architects, etc.) on Lenovo services & solutions, deal requirements & challenges to facilitate effective RFP/RFI responses leading to successful deal closure
  • Define a framework to manage long term strategy & forecasting by effectively and consistently use Microsoft Dynamics and other reporting tools to track key sales metrics and consistently meet those metrics
  • Ensure that our customers receive world-class sales and customer service 

Position Requirements: 

  • 7+ years of successful sales in the services & solution industry
  • Successful track record selling to senior-level executives/decision-makers  
  • Demonstrated track record of top performance while carrying multi-million dollar quotas 
  • Proven ability to develop strategies and successfully sell within globally operating customers
  • Ability to manage multiple complex sales engagements 
  • Strong financial acumen and communication skills 
  • You will champion the innovative power of our products to make companies more productive, collaborative, and transformative
  • Experience within the Energy Oil + Gas / Pharma Healthcare segments is a plus
