Description and Requirements

 


In this role, your initiative will go beyond this basic requirement, and enhancements of the solution e.g., by developing new lifecycle solutions for seamless customer experience are highly appreciated. There will be many opportunities to learn about solution design, architectural concepts, and enterprise-level software development processes.

You will be part of a global team and report to a Senior Infrastructure Solutions Group Manager.


In this position, you will:

  • Develop Hardware and Infrastructure Solutions for SAP, especially SAP HANA.
  • Architect, design, and develop new solutions using Lenovo’s world-class ThinkSystem family of servers and sustaining new levels of OS, FW, and SAP software for the solution as required.
  • Be able to go beyond and enhance the solution for maximum customer benefit is welcomed. 
  • Interact not only with SAP as a partner but also with our mutual operating systems and hardware partners like SUSE, Red Hat, Nutanix, VMware, Intel, AMD, etc
  • Participate in weekly collaborative planning calls and meetings.
  • Be expected to be a good team player (interfacing with partners and development teams globally), to work self-motivated, and to tackle different challenges as they come up.

Apply if you have: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux System Administration roles (script development exp.) is required
  • Experience with programming languages - Python, Bash
  • Strong debugging skills and a systematic approach are a must
  • Willingness to work with customers in problem resolution with the ability to restore customer confidence and satisfaction.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science

Nice to have skills:

  • Hardware Administration, especially incl. Diagnosis and firmware maintenance
  • Hardware / Software Configuration & Architecture
  • High Availability, Virtualization, Clustering
  • Software-defined architecture and principals
