Description and Requirements

We are offering new opportunity for a true PC solution expert with the right combination of technical and project management skills, experience in technical consulting, excellent communication skills and a passion for customer experience.

What is your mission as AMD Client Technologist?

• Help drive incremental AMD-based Workstation Business to Large, Public Sector accounts and Mid-Market
• Provide technology assistance to sales in design and integration of customer applications using AMD based solutions
• Partner with sales in determining possible applications of AMD based products and solutions to meet customer requirements
• Provide training to sales teams to increase their product knowledge, understanding of market, customer behavior and how to differentiate Lenovo in the market
• Partner with other AMD and vendor subject matter experts to build specific customer solutions
• Analyze third party solutions and evaluate product performance based on customer needs
• Install and test solutions in-house, as required, to ensure successful deployments and evaluations
• Plan and lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions that are aligned with end-user objectives
• Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to end-users
• Articulate AMD technology offerings across multiple workstation market verticals, especially M&E, AEC but not only
• Conduct technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects
• Design and manage the execution of evaluation plans to ensure a quality solution is delivered
• Be a credible subject matter expert to end users on direct and indirect product capabilities
• Capture a solid understanding of the competitive landscape and clearly articulate the technical differentiation and value proposition associated with AMD versus its competitors
• Build strong relationships with the Country/Region Sales team & Management
• Seed Unit management in conjunction with sales
• 50% Customer/Business Partner Facing time expected

Position Requirements:

• A very high level of technical expertise and project management combined proven experience in technical consulting and excellent customer facing communication skills
• PC architecture knowledge especially Workstation and In depth knowledge of current and former operating systems (Microsoft, Linux)
• Strong communication and presentation skills - You know how to connect with customers and have the ability to work at different levels and to manage multiple customer situations
• Experience and in-depth knowledge of IT industry required (3-5 years)
• Successful experience of working with business customers, partner channel & PC industry
• Degree in Information Technology, System Engineering or similar subjects or equivalent work experience
• Excellent English language skills
• Enhanced cross-functional team working capabilities and collaborative working style and high commitment to get the job done
