We are seeking a strong leader to be a strategic adviser to our Asia Pacific leadership team on Lenovo’s growth and innovation journey in the region. This is a critical leadership role that will drive the entire spectrum of integrated communications across paid, earned, owned channels including - thought leadership, executive comms, employee comms and advocacy, product comms, crisis and issues management, events, ESG comms, and social media guidance. It is also a role managing and motivating a team of communications leaders and agencies across the AP region. The role is an exciting opportunity to join Lenovo at a pivotal moment in the company’s history and transformation as it transitions for being famous for technology brands like ThinkPad, Yoga, and Motorola, to one that is known as a technology giant across solutions, software, and services too.

The ideal candidate must shape effectively and collaboratively Lenovo’s story in the areas of technology innovation, digital transformation, customer experience and corporate culture in a way that is refreshing, authentic and relevant to our diverse region.

She/he must also have:

  • A proven track record in bridging communications strategy to business imperatives in a global or regional context
  • Extensive experience managing and advising C-level executives
  • Stellar writing and presentation skills
  • Deep understanding of the media, influencer and analyst landscape in Asia Pacific as well as knowledge of the nuances in our diverse markets
  • Excellent grasp of trends and developments in social media, employee engagement and public relations
  • Considerable experience in driving employee engagement message development, campaigns and content creation
  • Considerable experience in leading issues management and crisis communications
  • Strong understanding of social media tools and platforms and how to most effectively leverage these in different contexts
  • Innate ability to be able to balance being strategic with hands-on execution
  • Successful track record in inspiring and leading a remote team of seasoned communications professionals and PR agencies
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced and matrixed environment
  • Must be comfortable working in a decentralized environment but also collaborating well with central Business Group and global communications teams as required
  • Energetic, positive, flexible, collaborative, confident, articulate, hard-working, meticulous
  • Keen to push boundaries, try new things and challenge traditional ways of doing PR

At least 15 years of experience in corporate communications, with a mix of in-house and PR agency experience a plus
