Description and Requirements

Job Responsibilities

will include but not be limited to the following:

#. Assists in architecture development, assessment and concept incubation.

#. Design engineering solutions for the platform and system.

#. Work with other hardware engineers or outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions.

#. Conducts feasibility studies, design margin, validation analyses and empirical testing on the designs.

#. This role would apply developed subject matter knowledge to design, analyze, develop, modify and evaluate the key components of the platform, integrate sub-systems and firmware and hardware.

#. Ensure integrated circuitry based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.

#. Collaborates and communicates with management, internal peer functions, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

#. Cooperate with internal peer functions and outsourced design partners, to develop and implement parameters and test plans for the designs, including validation of hardware circuit quality/ robustness; mechanical tolerances/ assembly interference, form/fit/function, shock and vibration; electromagnetic interference; safety; reliability; thermal generation; and system power measurements and expected distribution.

#. Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used form prototype fabrication to production.

Position Requirements: 

#. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

#. Industrial design experience more than 10 years, preferred on Server / IPC product development experience.

#. Preferred 2 socket and above system design.

#. Project leading experience to cooperate with each function teams (Mechanical, Thermal, Signal integrity, FW, Power, Validation...) to provide the optimized solution fulfil customer's requirements and production on time.

#. Has strong relationship with component suppliers, Industrial ORG / Community. Familiar with industrial trending and continually performing new technology research.

#. Understand the characteristics of each components, PCB material requirements, timely implement suitable / cost effective solutions or parts in the design.

#. Familiar with system / electrical design tools and software packages (Cadence Concept, Allegro, CPLD compiler, Validation utility, diagnostic tool and scrip...).

#. Using empirical analysis, and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and system.

#. Issue logical analytical and problem-solving skills.

#. Clearly known of manufactory DFX rules and requirements to ensure the designed products can moving forward for mass production with high yield rete and quality.

#. Experience in system management firmware and CPLD / FPGA code development is a plus.
