Description and Requirements

This role has broad scope of embedded system software development, involving hardware interfaces for mobile System-on-Chip designs, software architecture and implementation for Linux kernel and Android board support, defect analysis and resolution.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 3 years experience in software development.

• BS/MS in EE, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.

• at least  1 year of Linux Kernel Development experience

• Solid experience with Linux OS, C, C++, object oriented and embedded software design.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Multimedia/Image processing product SW development experience.

• Experience working with smartphone or similar SoC platforms, such as Qualcomm Snapdragon, using modern configuration management tools like git, Gerrit, JIRA, and hands on experience with SW/HW debugging tools and equipment, such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, bus logic analyzers.

• Experience with microprocessor and device specifications, serial communication interfaces, power management, cross-development platforms and/or low level debugging tools a plus.

• Experience following a defined software process, with phases including requirements, design, coding, peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, etc
