The one thing that’s missing? Well… you...

Description and Requirements

Lenovo is the fastest growing technology company on the planet with our growth outpacing our competition quarter after quarter!    To remain nimble, we must embrace rapid innovation and change without impacting our commitment to quality or accruing technical debt that will slow our progress.   The Enterprise Architecture team provides the policies, tools and examples that allow teams to continuous find the optimal balance of these competing concerns.

As a member of the EA team, you will have visibility to all aspects of our company’s operation.  In a single day, tasks may be as varied as:

  • Selecting SaaS software to control robotic arms on our manufacturing floor.
  • Contribute to the redesign of our e-commerce platform to handle hundreds of transactions per hour.
  • Determine the usage policy for our company wide API Gateway, how the gateway should be packaged as part of our internal cloud offering and how this impacts our internal network design.
  • Meet with senior members from other top technology firms for industry collaboration or product improvements.
  • Present a 3year technology roadmap to our CIO and business leaders for a new market offering we are launching.

To thrive in our team, you must have a thirst for learning, excellent collaboration skills and unquestionably strong technical and operational knowledge.

As a junior member of our US based team, you will provide consultancy to our US based business and IT teams.   You will be mentored by a senior member of staff and report into the Director of Enterprise Architecture (who is also US based).

Faced with continuous incremental changes, it can be difficult for teams to evolve from a series of short-term tactical changes to a long-term flexible architecture.   With your deep knowledge of Lenovo’s tools and systems, you will work with individual teams for periods of a few weeks to a month to bridge these gaps through training and implementation help.  You will be expected to contribute code to solutions.

Lenovo is an international company operating in 37 territories worldwide.  You will need to have flexibility in your work hours to be effective, but our team has a strong emphasis on work life balance and our working practices reflect this.

This is an excellent role for someone who wants to accelerate their career through exposure to multiple technologies applied to a broad range of problems.  You will gain senior executive exposure.  The role includes budget for dedicated training and certification.
