Job Description & Requirements
We’re looking for a Firmware/Software Engineer for our OpenBMC initiative within the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) at Lenovo.  In this role you will be working with software engineers to design, develop, test, debug and document an OpenBMC stack for Lenovo servers. 

Role
You will provide design, develop, test, debug and documentation support to Lenovo’s OpenBMC stack.You will follow the guidance and direction of the OpenBMC Platform Lead to support development efforts.
Responsibilities will include Thermal Management (OpenBMC Thermal support PID and threshold mode)  
You will participate in collaborative planning calls and status meetings.

Required Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar degree or related software equivalent experience.
3+ years’ experience in BMC Firmware development.
Expertise with Intel and/or AMD x86 system architectures.
3+ years’ hands-on software development in C and C++. C++ is must-have.
Thermal experience (Fan algorithm interaction; integrate power police with Intel ME or SPS off road (NM-PTU/PMEM).
Embedded systems debugging experience with Debug tools: GNU, gdb.
Proficient with Git source version control system: comfortable with common Git workflows, forking, pull requests and code reviews.
Intimate knowledge of Software development processes, working knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools.
Experience using JIRA, Confluence and Jenkins
