The Business Development Leader for Lenovo Manufacturing Solutions will be an entrepreneurial leader tasked with combining the Business Intelligence, Solution Development, Marketing, and Sales Strategy to fully develop Lenovo’s new Manufacturing Solutions Business. This leader will play a critical role in building and advising on Lenovo’s technology that will help our clients meet their business goals. The leader will participate in customer outreach, consultative solution selling, and driving early customer contracts with targeted Manufacturing customers.

The Business Development Leader will be expected to achieve strategic customer wins and Total Contract Value targets for end-to-end solutions including hardware, software, and services. The Leader will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across Lenovo to drive Sales and Solution Delivery including leaders in Lenovo Global Supply Chain, Lenovo Research, Lenovo IT, Lenovo International Sales, Lenovo Solutions & Services Group, Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group, and Lenovo Intelligent Devices Group. This leader will exhibit the scrappy innovation of a startup while understanding how to leverage the resources of a global company.


Role Capabilities:

This role requires both general entrepreneurial product and sales expertise as well as domain expertise in manufacturing and supply chain. The successful candidate will have experience selling solutions to the manufacturing leaders at enterprise customers and will have a proven track record of launching new solutions businesses with early adopters. This leader must have strong relationship management and communication skills as they will be working directly with early adopter customers to sell and deliver solutions. Additionally, as this role is highly focused on manufacturing customers, previous experience in selling and delivering manufacturing solutions is required. The ideal candidate will come with a strong set of customer relationships that they can engage immediately to launch our early pilot sales. This leader should have proven ability to work with global customers and global teams.

Role Requirements:
Demonstrated entrepreneurial sales success building at least 1 startup business from the ground up
Experience selling to early adopter customers
5+ Years in Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain industry experience
10+ Years in consultative, complex technology sales
10+ Years in Global Businesses
Direct customer engagements in multi-cultural and cross geography experience
MBA preferred
Language: Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
