Job Description: Education Business Development Executive

Position Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, career-minded professional to join our team to develop new Lenovo education accounts. If you have experience within the Public Sector or EdTech and are looking to join a high paced and rapidly growing team, then this opportunity is right for you. 

Your role will be to uncover and develop opportunities within specific education sectors by proposing the benefits of the full catalogue of Lenovo products and solutions. You will work collaboratively with Lenovo product and industry experts, alongside specialist value-add resellers, to maximise the opportunity in this sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a territory of education customers and maximize Lenovo’s share of wallet within them
  • Acquire new lines of business by pro-active prospecting and generating face to face appointments, involving the wider sales specialist team where required
  • Collaborating with Lenovo specialist value-add resellers in demand generation and account management activities
  • Be agile and well informed in the way you work in response to changes within the education landscape and market conditions
  • Develop, execute and own a comprehensive territory plan to drive new development opportunities
  • Maintain an accurate and detailed pipeline to own and deliver quarterly forecast
  • Familiarisation with the Lenovo range to enable solution selling
  • Promote awareness of Lenovo education messaging via social media platforms
  • Account management – resolving enquiries and issues to promote a good Customer Experience
  • Gather and deliver industry insights to key stakeholders to help inform the decision-making process

Person Specification requirements

  • A strong understanding of the education sector
  • Significant experience in a sales or procurement environment  
  • Advanced IT sector knowledge
  • A personable team player with strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Be an expert in building and developing relationships
  • Experience working within EdTech and/or IT channel favourable
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites/industry events within the UK and Ireland
  • Candidate must have a permit to work in UK&I and a full driving license
