Description and Requirements


The Business Planning and Operations Leader will work in our Turnkey Solutions group.  This team creates pre-packaged, pre-configured turnkey solutions offered as-a-Service consumption with full deployment/maintenance support.  The solutions are hardware/software/services bundles that are easy, flexible, and complete.  

The ideal candidate will be comfortable continuously analyzing Lenovo’s existing Operating Models, leading the execution of business-critical workflows across multiple regions and in partnership with various partners as well as clearly communicating, presenting, and project managing proposed improvements. There will be an expectation for the candidate to be self-starting and to architect processes in a fast-paced environment.

Key success factors in this role include strong attention to detail, demonstrating a high degree of accountability and ownership, and an eye for automation and efficiency paired with the ability to document and translate comprehensive business requirements into tactical actions for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large scale projects designing and implementing enhancements to the Operational Architecture that supports the Turnkey Solutions team in Software and Solutions Group

  • Drive operational excellence based on the continuous review of current processes and the identification of opportunity areas that create efficiencies and remove obstacles

  • Own several business-critical workflows and oversee their successful global execution

  • Work closely with our Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to build a strong understanding of our product's value proposition and manage all facets (strategy, processes, systems, reporting) surrounding the effective adoption of turnkey solutions

  • Monitor key metrics and market / competitive intelligence to derive insights and to identify opportunities for improving operations/engagement across our portfolio

  • Regularly communicate with stakeholders across the Turnkey Solutions cross-functional teams to execute on projects and establish effective feedback loops

  • Synthesize project work for leadership consumption to make effective, analytically driven decisions regarding the global operating model

  • Drive standardization and operational alignment across workflows and regions

Qualification

  • 10+ years work experience in a Business Operations, Planning, E2E process design, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational processes, or Strategy/Operations Consulting

  • Demonstrated problem-solving experience, providing sound business insights and recommendations

  • Proven experience working independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and driving initiatives in a cross-functional environment

  • Experience in Change Management

  • Experience providing insights and recommendations in Operational Architecture design

  • Experience in Operational Workflow Management

  • Proven track record of accountability and ownership

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
