Lenovo Research - MTI Chicago Overview

This is a friendly and dynamic team of about a dozen researchers and engineers with very diverse background and strong technical expertise. We incorporate converging technologies into both existing and new products that take us beyond today’s most advanced products: smartphones, tablets, PCs, and other electronic devices. We perform research and system integration of software and hardware to deliver exciting products utilizing artificial intelligence, computer vision, natural language processing, context awareness, connectivity, authentication & security, as well as other relevant research areas.

What You’ll Do
You will join the Mobile Technology Innovation team in Lenovo Research, an advanced research and technology group within Lenovo in downtown Chicago. You will be working with a group of experienced colleagues on one or more of the current research projects. You will participate in regular team meetings, brainstorming sessions, team building events, and other company activities. You will have opportunities to contribute to the business by solving actual technical problems with innovative idea, try out your idea by writing code and testing your code, file patent applications, and make technical presentations.

Basic Qualifications:
• MS degree in CS, CE, EE or related field with strong background in AI for imaging and camera IQ processing techniques

Job Description and Requirements:
Design/build image quality improvement solutions and integrate AI models/algorithms in Android Camera Pipeline·
-Understanding of QC or MTK ISP platforms, ISP pipeline, and overall ISP software architecture.
·Experience on Qcom chi/camx development, understanding Qcom chi/camx software architecture with coding experience, is preferred.
·Experience on Machine learning algorithm integration in Qcom chi/camx or MTK camera HAL3, is preferred.
·Shows a strength in one area of imaging, and a demonstrated eagerness and ability to learn all the other parts of the imaging system.
·Shows familiar with one of the 3As of Imaging: Auto White Balance, Auto Exposure, Auto Focus.
·Have excellent documentation skills, work well in a team environment, and respond to a dynamic development cycle.
·Supports architecture, design, validation, and troubleshooting of imaging solutions.
