Description and Requirements

The Role

As an Information Technology Engineer, you engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of IT services, from inception and design to deployment, operation, and refinement. You use your technology acumen to provide input to evaluate new technologies and contribute to the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of services. You contribute to research and proof-of-concept initiatives for new technologies and assist with solution architectural, design, and engineering reviews. You support system design consulting, developing service platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and readiness reviews of services before they are Generally Available (GA).

You write, organize and maintain systems engineering blueprints and Infrastructure-as-Code based on designs. You'll work closely across multiple internal and external organizations (Lenovo product engineering, business development, sales, marketing, partners, and internal technical communities) to position Lenovo for our most strategic opportunities and guide the value proposition and benefit to those stakeholders. A keen sense of ownership, a bias for action, drive, curiosity, and scrappiness are necessary.
