Description and Requirements

For our sales team we are looking for a field sales Channel Account Manager m / f / d based in the Bavarian area to expand the structures and sales activities as soon as possible. In this function, you will be responsible for the enablement and expansion of new business partners in a dedicated area. Furthermore, you will take over responsibility for a set of assigned Mid-Market accounts in your territory together with the Mid Market Inside Sales team.

Lenovo 360 is the wholistic view of the customer’s needs and our approach to enable our business partners making the best out our full bandwidth of or product portfolio and solutions. This will be your strong foundation and fundamental success factor when managing your business segment with business partners and end customers.

With over 95% of Lenovo’s B2B business moving through the Channel, the role of the Channel Account Manager at Lenovo is extremely important and critical to our success.
The role of Lenovo Channel Account Manager is a senior position that requires excellent relationships at all levels both at Lenovo and with the partners including CEO level.

You will be part of a Sales team and you will be reporting to Channel Senior Sales Manager. 

Your tasks:

• Identification and qualification of new business partners and customer projects

• Enablement and Development of strategies to help business partner to grow their business with the entire Lenovo product portfolio and solutions. Always in mind to use a 360 approach with all Lenovo solutions out of the Client- and Datacenter business

• Presentation of the entire Lenovo product and solution portfolio considering the individual customer requirements

• Ability to work with a solution selling sales approach including up-sell and cross-sell products, solutions, options and services

• Ensure that Lenovo is top of mind through the successful delivery of training and communications

• Understanding and in-depth knowledge of our Data Center and Client products and services, industry trends, and competition

• Implementation and control of development plans, incentive programs and co-marketing plans for partners

• Quarterly activity planning with the partners to optimize target achievement

• Documentation of sales activities in the CRM system (MS Dynamics)

• Processing of daily customer inquiries in cooperation with international Lenovo functions

  • Together with your inside Channel Account Manager counterpart on the one hand and the Mid Market Inside Sales Team on the other hand you build a strong team.
  • To be successful and make your partners successful, you have strong interlock with internal Lenovo functions like: Technical Sales Team, Distribution Sales Team, Marketing, Product Management and Services Sales Team.


Your profile:

• Study of information technology / business administration or a comparable education/professional experience

• Several years of professional and negotiation experience in sales and proficiency in the solution selling approach.

• In-depth sales and product knowledge

• Industry know-how and knowledge of the IT channel and preferably a reliable network into the partner landscape in your region.

• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changed market conditions

• Customer-oriented, independent, structured and goal-oriented way of working

• Ability to work in a team and above-average commitment

• Very good MS Office knowledge

• Business fluent knowledge of English and German

• Drivers license category “B”
