About Our Team

Software and Cloud is one of the fastest growing business inside Lenovo. The goal of our software division is to develop and promote end-to-end solutions based on hardware, client software, and cloud services.

This position is for an Imaging Technical Product Management role. This is an exciting new role that will define the next generation image processing and computer vision requirements to increase overall quality of Lenovo imaging solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Imaging Technical Product Management with a proven record of leading and driving successful products/solutions with the ability to create innovative and differentiated solutions that will drive value for Lenovo and our customers.

What You'll Do

  • You will be using client software and Cloud services, powered by AI, to improve camera quality of Lenovo systems
  • Your day to day responsibilities will be to evaluate & develop new image/video processing algorithms and compare their performance against existing solutions
  • You will be evaluating & developing state-of-the art computer vision algorithms to better understand users intends
  • You will be working with 3rd parties to evaluate their algorithms and determining their value
  • You will be working with high level tools (i.e., Matlab, OpenCV, etc.) to bring proposed algorithms to a prototype stage
  • You will be assisting the engineering teams to productize the proposed solutions
  • You will be recommending optimization strategies to efficiently run the proposed solutions on the available hardware platforms (i.e., GPUs, DLAs, accelerators, etc.).

Position Requirements:

  • Responsible for advancing the state-of-the art in image processing and computer vision for Lenovo imaging solutions
  • Create image processing and computer vision algorithms at a high-level
  • Evaluate 3rd party solutions and recommend improvements required to bring them to Lenovo solutions
  • Work with internal research teams to advance the state-of-the art of imaging and computer vision products for Lenovo
  • Assist engineering teams to convert the recommended algorithms to software products
  • Work with the image quality team to ensure that the proposed algorithms meet the defined acceptance criteria

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent real-world experience.
  • 5+ years of image processing and/or computer vision.
  • 10+ years of image processing and/or computer vision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent real-world experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate a mix of quantitative and   qualitative data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills, especially the ability to manage   multiple concurrent priorities being executed by multiple teams.
  • Image processing or computer vision programming in at least one of        the following languages/frameworks (C/C++, OpenCV, MATLAB, etc.)
  • AI , ML, Convolutional Neural Networks
