Position Title : PCSD Consumer 4P manager, Korea

Location : Korea – Seoul

Position Description : 

Basic Qualification

  •  7+ years of Product Management experience in consumer IT industry
  • Proven successful record in product portfolio management under complex and fast-paced industry
  • Solid experience and deep understanding on consumer channel eco system
  • Excellent technical / product knowledge of the PC products, peripherals and service
  • Strong problem solving & analysis skills, commitment & action oriented
  • Superior understanding of the customers in the PC market
  • Deep experience of alliance partner engagement (Intel, AMD, Microsoft, nVidia, Google… etc)
  • Business-level English skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel & Power point skills
  • Result driven, team player able to contribute as team member

Position description

  • Consumer product owner (consumer notebook, tablet, service, etc) including attainment of quarterly Revenue, Margin and Unit goals.
  • Be a key member of the Korea team of providing high quality advice and guidance to the internal/external stake holders and being the voice of the product team
  • Develop quarterly and annual business plan creation by advanced analysis and execution by aligned action items.
  • Weekly cadence owner for responsible category. Issue / action, financial position, pipeline coverage, product mix, price band, unit bridge, sell-in/thru/out
  • Product life cycle management from planning to end of life. Drives consistency in ramp plans, transitions and EOL planning in the rationale approach
  • Develop and maintain effective strategies, policies and practices in all aspects of the business and have a very broad horizon to influence and direct changing strategies as the business and market place evolves.
  • Product transition management with a view to maximizing revenue & profit
  • Face to face customer, business partner and distributor engagement on roadmap & opportunity management as required
  • Co-work with multi alliance partners to maximize mutual goal in product portfolio, marketing, demand generation program.

Product management

  • Responsible for the overall product portfolio / life cycle management for a particular product, product line or services portfolio.
  • Drives the assessment of potential markets, development of product definition, pricing strategy, marketing communications and solution plans to optimize the company's products/service portfolio.
  • Applies broad knowledge of company’s product/service capabilities and competitive environment to identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging product/service opportunities.
  • Evaluates in-depth market analysis and leads business case for optimization of existing products/solutions alternatives and/or to create the next generation of new products.
  • Collaborates with research and development to create products and validate early product definitions. 

Product  Marketing

  • Helps to develop a communications strategy to support product launches for strategic product and service initiatives. Understands market trends and has a good understanding of the overall industry, the buyer and buyer's processes, as well as our product features and capabilities, our strengths, our differentiators, and how we will position our product relative to the competition.
  • Influences to develop key product messages and product content, including data sheets, white papers, articles, podcasts, blogs, and sales enablement materials.

Product operation

  • Responsible for development and execution of products plans in the effective way
  • Develops operational strategies to implement product plans and achieve product objectives.
  • Communicates with cross functional teams and oversees product development.
  • Manages product-related feedback and uses it for on-going development/refinement of the product.
  • Drives continuous improvement of the product development process
