Description and Requirements

In this role you will be responsible for the further development and managing Key Consumer Retail Partners across UK and Ireland. We are looking for an experienced Sales Executive to be dedicated to our existing customers in the Consumer team. We value the relationships we have across the region and will trust you to continue the long- term business collaboration and build Lenovo’s portfolio.

The role will involve you in planning and executing an effective relationship strategy and maintaining effective long-term business relationships at the senior level with key decision makers and influencers. You will drive growth and acquire new streams of business and report to our UKI Consumer Director.

  • Ensure Lenovo achieves market share growth within the existing accounts base.
  • Target new developing channels
  • Manage key seasonal promotional opportunities, Easter, BTS, and Christmas.
  • Ensure all promotional opportunities provide part of a realistic weekly forecast.
  • Negotiate and manage Sell In and Sales Out inventory profiles plus returns/DOA’s.
  • Strategic QTR business plans for key accounts to include complete Range Selections, Volume Targets by week, in-store demand generation activity plan, and full marketing Mix.
  • Account level profitability plan to include Sales GTN=Discounts, Rebate Plan, Spiff funding & Promotions, GP%, Co-Marketing.
  • Work with UKI product management to determine appropriate product line-up, price propositions, and gain margin sign-off for each customer play.
  • Engagement with customer at all levels including senior management in order to completely understand their business drivers.
  • Internal project management across Finance, Service, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations and Product Management to support key retailers.
  • Lead the commercial negotiations and contract definition to establish a commercial model that supports the business growth through the next 5 years.
  • Manage Lenovo product portfolio and conduct competitive analysis.
  • Grow share of wallet with existing retailers to support growth KPI’s.
  • Establish the brand name as well recognized and esteemed on the UKI market.
  • Identifying and prioritising Lenovo opportunities and developing solutions strategies.
  • Planning, facilitating, and conducting complex negotiations reaching lasting agreements and commitments.
  • Responsible for revenue, profit margins, SRP management, for all Retail accounts

Success factors

  • Consistent achievement of weekly and quarterly sales in / sell through quota.
  • Proven ability to build relationships & negotiate (Sell In plans, Margin, SOW) with Key Decision makers in customer.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple consumer channels and propositions to ensure minimum of channel / price conflict.
  • Exploit new consumer channel business models to gain maximum exposure for the Lenovo Brand.
  • Pro-active Business & marketing planning to show good levels of ROI, increased share of wallet and focused activities.
  • Achievement of top 3 vendor rank within named Business Partner. Inline with profitability plan I.e. balance of volume/profit & entry, mid & high end product mix.
  • Ensure the Lenovo brand values are positively promoted at all times via selected consumer channels.


Position Requirements:      

  • Minimum 5 years proven sales experience
  • Prior relationships with targeted National retailers, e-tailers, and Distributors
  • Energetic, sales driven attitude and a “must win” attitude
  • Proven face to face sales track record
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Commercial understanding of National retailers/e-tailers
  • Requires travel
