Description and Requirements
Lenovo’s quality team is currently seeking a senior customer quality engineer for the desktop and workstation team. In this position you will be performing failure analysis on customer defects, issue resolution, and implementing future product improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform failure analysis of product defects
- Drive defect resolution with product owners
- Drive future product improvements
- Perform onsite customer investigation as needed
- Mentor junior engineers
- Lead resolution efforts for complex technical root cause unknown field issue(s) involving key Lenovo customers and products
Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related fields
- 7+ years experience as a Quality Engineer
- Knowledge of PCB and IC construction
- Advanced knowledge of PC architecture
- Well versed with oscilloscopes, X-Ray machine, SEM, FTIR, etc.
- PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related fields
- Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexibility to work some evening hours
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed
- Team player attitude with the ability to work proactively & autonomously
