Description and Requirements
Lenovo’s quality team is currently seeking a customer quality safety engineer for PC and smart devices. In this position you will be performing post incident product safety assessments and failure analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Assess safety of PC and smart device product failures
- Perform onsite customer environment and incident inspection as needed
- Perform failure analysis of product defects
- Drive defect resolution with product owners
- Drive future product improvements
Basic Requirements:
- Certified Fire Inspector
- Knowledge of safety regulatory requirements governing and regulating the safe use of electronic equipment
- Advanced knowledge of Li-ion and other battery technology
- PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexibility to work some evening hours
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed
- Team player attitude with the ability to work proactively & autonomously
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Materials analysis background
- Familiarity with PC development process
- Bilingual English/Chinese
