Description and Requirements

This individual will manage and lead an organization of Inside Sales Representatives and account managers in selling Lenovo SaaS titles from a limited portfolio of products related to the UDS Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate is a strong sales leader, who comes from an entrepreneurial background with proven industry success selling SaaS software products.  The candidate will need to demonstrate specific firsthand knowledge of SaaS sales, including product positioning, pricing, placement, and promotion (working closely with Director of Marketing for UDS).  Ideal candidates will understand and be able to demonstrate data driven sales success, highly scalable lead routing and sales process and be able to support the development of sales workflows to support Lenovo’s incubation Software business.  Having a known pipeline of savvy inside sales professionals would be ideal to help build the organization.    

The Director of UDS Global SaaS Sales Leader is expected to be an advocate for establishing a SaaS sales discipline within the Cloud and Software team and influencing the development of our customer success, pre- and post-sales support processes and teams.  The ideal candidate will be player, and a coach to the expanding team.   This is a new/incubation business within Lenovo, and we are looking for a candidate which exceptional energy, enthusiasm, and solid entrepreneurial experience. 


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales strategy and set aggressive goals to grow revenue through selling Lenovo 1st party and 3rd party subscription software products to achieve sales targets. 
  • Attract, hire, develop and retain top sales talent
  • Create and implement sales programs and tools that motivate teams to perform at their highest levels and to develop and drive consistent, scalable workflows and processes to amplify success.
  • Ensure that our customers receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service.  (working closely with Director of Sales Operations and Digital Fulfillment)
  • Drive strategy to increase pipeline opportunities.  Expand pipeline into new accounts not currently in the Lenovo customer set.
  • Work with the marketing team on the design and execution of successful demand generation campaigns, sales nurture and post lead capture programs
  • Critically analyze and drive improvement through Fu Pan (retrospective), root cause analysis, Win/Loss analysis, and cross team collaboration
     

Requirements:

  • BA or BS in relevant fields
  • 8+ years of SaaS sales experience
  • 5+ years of Sales Management experience
  • Ability as a natural leader and to hire and scale sales organizations
  • Consistent achievement of year over year quota attainment
  • CRM experience and demonstrable success in driving a data driven pipeline and sales strategy and process based on customer persona and sales workflow.
  • Experience is selling Software to customer exclusive of hardware prospecting.
  • Experience in closing both high touch and low touch customer opportunities.
  • Comprehensive and current knowledge of the IT industry, including market research, industry trends, sales, and negotiating principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
