Description and Requirements

Would you like to lead a global team of experienced professionals to create a balanced demand plan to support the financial & customer objectives? 

In this role you’ll become a part of our Infrastructure Solutions Group and report to our Executive Director of Business Planning and Supply Management based in the US.

What will be your responsibilities in this role?

  • Lead the monthly executive S&OP review with ISG’s Chief Operating Officer, Chief Customer Officer, and Chief Financial Officer
  • Ensure the creation of a balanced demand plan that optimizes across revenue, profit, cash and customer experience.
  • Collaborate across functions to optimize the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
  • Foster a culture of openness and innovation, where team members feel they are recognized for their contributions and can meaningfully grow their careers.
  • Drive transformation across the global IBP process and toolset, identifying opportunities to leverage ‘next generation’ capabilities and technologies to propel ISG forward in the marketplace.

Inventory

  • Lead team responsible for tracking over $2.5 billion of inventory for ISG across all manufacturing sites and distribution centers globally
    • Work with Planning, Supply Management, Order Execution, and other internal stakeholders to optimize the level of inventory held, as measured by Days of Inventory
    • Provide regular forward-looking projections of inventory levels to Finance and ISG leadership, calling out risks to achieving outlook and opportunities to reduce inventory
    • Monitor inventory aging, working with Supply Management and Sales teams to proactively mitigate potential future problems
  • Own Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventory budget for ISG Global Supply Chain; lead team that is responsible for orchestrating efforts to minimize E&O impact to ISG’s bottom line
    • Monthly refresh of E&O projections for current and future quarters
    • Lead cross-functional teams designed to reduce E&O exposure
    • Partner with Lenovo Value Recovery to maximize the velocity of aging inventory
    • Own the brokering/scrap process for ISG sites
    • Work with Global Commodity Management leadership to manage spend on sub-tier vendor liability
  • Work directly with Tier 1 Cloud Service Provider customers to provide custom inventory reporting based on their requests, and partner to solve their unique inventory-related supply chain challenges
  • Participate in annual financial plan, working with Finance and senior leaders to establish targets for days of inventory, excess/obsolete inventory expenses, and working capital cost

What do we expect from you?

  • 15+ years experience in demand planning and Inventory in enterprise and cloud segments
  • Global experience working with Geo Sales executives
  • 10+ years’ experience in managing a global team of planning and inventory professionals
  • Experience from the IT industry
