Description and Requirements

France & Iberia regional ESG Program Manager is responsible for monitoring, documenting, managing implementation of compliance strategies and supporting local and global teams on topics related to regulatory requirements in the region – preferability on France and Spain. Objective is that Lenovo (company) and Lenovo products shall be compliant to all product related legislation governing import and regulatory compliance, and to support our sales organization to overcome trade barriers necessary to sell into the market. France & Iberia regional ESG Program Manager shall interact with local trade associations, regulatory authorities, customers, business partners, test houses, NGOs and Lenovo internal teams to enable strong business compliance covering regulatory requirements (environmental, sustainability/CSR, safety, homologation, etc.) of Lenovo and Lenovo products.

Role shall support compliance with regulatory requirements mainly in France and Spain (with possible future support for other countries/regions as per need and development in sustainability legislations area) related but not limited to:


Environmental / Sustainability – e.g.:

  • Circular Economy (Repairability/Durability requirements)
  • Ecodesign requirements for products and packaging
  • Product end of life management systems (Repair Fund, WEEE, Batteries, Packaging, etc.)
  • Chemical compliance legislation (e.g. REACH / SCIP / RoHS)
  • Leading, implementing and managing local registrations / other certifications, including online registrations (e.g. EPEAT)

Regulatory Compliance – e.g.:
  • National/import requirements
  • Leading, implementing and managing local registrations / other certifications, including online registrations
  • Overseeing product marking and user documentation regulatory text requirements, to ensure compliance. Including:
  1. Country specific agency label and packaging markings
  2. Country specific regulatory product documentation
  • Copyright requirements


For current products and new/emerging technologies, role provides advice, insight and outlook to identify impact to Lenovo and actions necessary to implement business/product compliance. Inform Lenovo Corporate Compliance leads if a non-compliance situation or risk is identified. Lead compliance projects to develop and implement corrective actions to ensure business and product compliance.  

Where required, lobbying to help drive France and Spain ESG & Safety regulatory alignment with existing legislation in core markets (mainly EU, other EU Member States, but also USA / China). Whenever France or Spain Authorities suggest/implement national deviations from existing standards (CENELEC/IEC/ISO/EU standards) or Directives notify Lenovo Corporate Compliance leads as early as possible and engage to drive alignment across markets.


Promote France and Spain ESG & regulatory compliance requirements and related customer procurement requirements inside Lenovo and ensure they are documented within Lenovo standards, engineering specifications etc. and understood by responsible R&D and business units. Role should limit financial impacts (fines, penalties, stop ships, etc.) and keep regulatory compliance costs as low as possible, whilst ensuring compliance.

Provide technical guidance and support to customers and business partners. Represent Lenovo externally to customers, NGO and support creation of a positive image and PR to Lenovo. Support primarily consists of providing certificates and technical documentation to allow products to clear customs and for business partners to acquire certificates themselves.


Organization

France & Iberia regional ESG Program Manager reports and receives guidance from EMEA and Corporate ESG/ Regulatory Compliance management.

Base gross monthly salary from minimum 2100 EUR and above, depending on experience + variable part
