312 Lab Software Product Delivery Team - 312 lab is an innovation product group located in Chicago and focus on implementing the latest and greatest technology and new form factors into pioneer Products. As part of the group, Software Product Delivery team is accountable for the design, development and simultaneous delivery of the product to a global market. 

 


The primary responsibility will be: 

Partner with our colleagues in Product Hardware Development, Platform Software Development, Go to Market and Test organizations to ensure that the product meets the core objectives agreed in the product description, ensure that software and hardware work together in perfect symphony, drive carrier and type approval, guarantee reliable and repeatable assembly and validate technical accuracy of launch collateral. 


  • Design and implement extended functions/prototypes on Android based products

  • Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within quality assurance, time and cost constraints

  • Integrate the latest Android platform to mobile products, analyze and fix issues to support product delivery

  • Lead the resolution and tune up system/application performance and improve system/application stability using the strong background in Computer Operating System, Embedded System, and multi-thread programming

  • Own and drive carrier and type approvals testing, guarantee reliable and repeatable assembly at factory and validate technical accuracy of launch collateral.

  • Ensure Dog Food plan is in place and monitor product stability. Identify and drive stability enhancements.



Position Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS degree in Computer Computer Science or Computer Engineering

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in software development

  • Solid programming Experience with Java or C/C++, Multimedia/image processing, Android (App, Framework, RIL, Telephony, IMS) or other structured languages

  • Experience with Linux, Android Studio, GIT

  • Strong knowledge in algorithm, data structure and object oriented programming

  • Software Architecture and Design Methodologies

  • Strong verbal and written communication with excellent ability to articulate the technical details. 

  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams. 

  • Should be a self starter, and passionate about developing innovative and high quality products. 



Preferred Qualifications: 

  • C, C++, Java, Linux, OS design, embedded & real-time SW design and related experience. Strong algorithmic, data structure and object oriented programming skills. 

  • Experience with microprocessor and device specifications, serial communication interfaces, power management, cross-development platforms and/or low level debugging tools a plus. 

  • Understanding of mobile phone hardware and software architecture and development process is a plus.

  • Domain Expertise on Protocol Stack (NAS, RRC, RLC, PDCP, MAC), LTEStack(NAS, RRC, eRLC, eMAC, ePDCP), 5G-NR Stack, TCP/IP is a plus. 

  • Experience working with North American Carriers (Vzw, ATT/TMO) backend submission process.

  • QCOM Chip-sets and QCOM development and debug tools experience will be beneficial. 

  • 5G-NR related experience on device or network side will be advantageous.
