About Our Team

We are hiring a Thermal Test Engineer to work on the server products in the Infrastructure Solutions Group. This is an exciting and fast paced role supporting the Cloud Server Provider (CSP) segment! Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is innovating the future-defined data center, today. From the simplest to the most complex IT environments for all types of workloads, our servers, storage, networking and solutions help maximize the potential of data centers.

What You'll Do

• Review test documents (SPEC, etc.) from customers
• Setup test environments, include debug ACs, power meter ,thermal couple etc.
• Setup software test environments and modify test script parameters for different type of servers
• Perform tests following customer requirements
• Analysis and debug during the test process
• Collect test data and create official test reports
• Communicate with customers for any new requirements

*This role is based at Lenovo's North America Headquarters in Morrisville, NC. Relocation assistance is available.*

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline
• 3+ years of experience or equivalent in server and rack thermal system test
• Experience with the operation of power meter, AC source, DC source, thermal recorder, thermal chamber, and wind tunnel
• Knowledge of server platform, CPU testing, performance and stress testing of CPU system, BMC, BIOS, Windows OS

Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Engineering discipline
• Familiar with x86 platform server architecture
• Knowledge of data center thermal infrastructure and delivery
• Ability to work in a fast-paced group, Attention to details, Excellent communication skills
