Description and Requirements

The Role

We are seeking a Finance Analytics Senior Manager with experience working for a multi-national enterprise in a strategic role that will manage key finance related analytics initiatives. Your goal is to use data and analytics to help stakeholders across finance organization to make key business decisions that further our mission.

You’ll be working closely with leaders in finance functions across accounting, treasury, costing, expense and GTN. You will design and develop analytics solutions for finance function and also contribute to the overall analytics community within Lenovo. You will be providing mentoring and leadership within the department that offers effective reporting, insight and analysis for multiple stakeholders.

This role reports to Executive Director of Global Analytics. You will be starting off as an individual contributor but have the potential to be leading a team as we start to deploy more solutions for finance functions.

Successful candidates will possess deep analytical capabilities, strong communication skills, and robust experience with finance operations. Additionally, they will demonstrate the ability to collaborate with different functions, focus on achieving practical business impact and work at both working team and exec levels.

As Finance Analytics Senior Manager, you will be responsible for:

·           Develop analytics solutions to enhance Lenovo’s finance operations via descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics

·           Drive cross-functional projects, working closely together with colleagues within department and other Lenovo teams (e.g. supply chain, IT, sales)

·           Influence Lenovo’s finance organization to move from manual unsystematic decision making to automatic data driven process Architect build data collectors and data fabric to collect and transport data to analytics platform Instill analytics solutions into day-to-day BMS in finance operations

·           Establish, grow and maintain data & analytics related tools, information base and processes

·           Actively work with analytics vendors especially in finance to build out capabilities in finance analytics and eventually migrate in house

·           Assist with the development skill set of a multi-disciplinary team to become key decision influencers

·           This location will be based in Beijing, China

You

·           Candidates will have a minimum 6-8 years experience across analytics practices with a strong focus on finance, based on which the candidate should have developed sound business/commercial judgment and critical thinking

·           Strong statistical skills and proficient database & programming skills to quickly prototype experimental solutions and develop robust, maintainable production systems

·           Deep knowledge of data structure, database design, data warehouses, and operational data stores

·           Advanced knowledge on finance operations, experience in consumer electronics industry a big plus

·           Strong cross-functional project management capability to drive timely business impact working with diversified project team

·           Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills, with capacity to interact with all levels in the organization (including regular exposure to executive management)

·           Strong problem solving capability to tackle complicated issues

·           Bias for action, drive for results while demonstrating positive attitude and enthusiasm
