Description and Requirements

Part of multidisciplinary teams, bringing diverse perspectives to every challenge.  Focus on developing finance operating model, finance process and next generation digital finance capabilities to improve processes in business groups worldwide.

Passionate on the impact of digital on finance and how finance leverage digital technologies to deliver increased value to stakeholders.  Translate business challenges into business requirements that can be packaged into delivery functions for execution.

This role also involves designing financial policy that aim at enabling compliance, execution consistency, and automation.

The role will orchestrate closely with business unity, geographic and functional strategy teams across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

Identify, document, and implement ongoing end to end finance and accounting process improvement with an aim to drive standardization end efficiency, redesign processes through simplification and drive productivity;

Process improvement projects focused on various applicable finance areas for Lenovo's diversified businesses, with a focus in RTR (record-to-report), e.g. customer rebate accrual process

Participate in the set up of corporate knowledge repository to drive effective and efficient knowledge sharing of finance & business policies, best practices, standards, and guidelines across the organization;

Issue financial reporting guidance and interpretation to ensure consistent application of the standards across Geos and BG in day-to-day operations

Participate in global transformation projects and initiatives and implement changes in Finance operations in line with project plan;

Work collaboratively with cross domain counterparts to develop detail project work plans, risk mitigation, issue tracking and communication plan;

Develop and deliver presentations to audiences ranging from business line stakeholders to executives;

Occasional travel might be required

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related subjects required;  Master’s degree preferred;  CPA, CMA or CFA equivalent is a plus

3 to 6 years or more of experience (depending on the banding applied) in one or more areas below, preferably also worked at corporate FP&A and/or accounting roles

·       Consulting experience

·       Implementing regional finance project operations or business process transformation in Record to Report, Procure to Pay, or Order to Cash

·       Finance transformation project management

Preferred Skill Requirements

SAP, SFDC, Qlik, Power BI, Anaplan

Professional Skill Requirements

·       Strong experience in driving finance transformation projects from both the technical and business perspectives;

·       Strong project management experience to lead multiple projects simultaneously in dynamic region/global environments under pressure and meet tight deadlines;

·       Able to work independently and with proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment;

·       Intellectual curiosity and strong professional judgement;

·       Must be solutions-driven, and possess strong problem skills and business acumen to guide transformation with the needs of the business in mind;

·       Possess strong communication (written and oral), interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with peers and senior leaders locally and on a remote basis;

·       Fluent in English and Mandarin

·       Exceptional ability in influencing change, drive results through efficient and practical approach
