Description and Requirements

Description: The General Manager for Lenovo Manufacturing Solutions will be an entrepreneurial business leader tasked with building the end-to-end manufacturing solutions business for Lenovo. This business will productize, sell, and deliver solutions based on the best practices and core IP created by Lenovo and in use within Lenovo’s own manufacturing operations. The General Manager will have full P&L responsibility to build this business including early customer engagement, product design and development, initial sales and pricing, and customer delivery and satisfaction. The General Manager will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across Lenovo to drive Sales, Product Development, and Solution Delivery including leaders in Lenovo Global Supply Chain, Lenovo Research, Lenovo IT, Lenovo International Sales, Lenovo Solutions & Services Group, Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group, and Lenovo Intelligent Devices Group. This leader will exhibit the scrappy innovation of a startup while understanding how to leverage the resources of a global company. Role Capabilities: This role requires both general entrepreneurship and domain expertise in manufacturing and supply chain. The successful candidate will have experience building businesses (entrepreneurship) and considering all parts of the P&L (general management) to drive early customer adoption (sales) and success (delivery) with a new solution (product management and development). 

The person must have strong relationship management and communication skills as they will be working directly with early adopter customers to form the solutions. Additionally, as this role is highly focused on manufacturing customers, previous experience in operating, delivering, or selling to manufacturers is required. This leader should have experience building entrepreneurial teams including sales, product management, engineering, design, and delivery. They should have proven ability to work with global customers and global teams.   

Role Requirements: 
·       Demonstrated entrepreneurial success building at least 1 startup business from the ground up
·       Experience building digital products using lean start-up methodologies including design thinking, prototyping, and agile development 
·       5+ Years in Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain 
·       10+ Years in personnel management
 ·       10+ Years engaged in Global Businesses 
·       MBA preferred
