Global Accounts SSG Chief of Staff/ Senior Program Manager

The Lenovo Solutions and Services Group (SSG) is looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager/ Chief of Staff to join our dynamic Global Accounts Services Sales Organization. This position will be responsible for initiating Global Accounts projects and objectives to drive product & sales performance. You will work closely with the Global Accounts Services Leader as the Chief of Staff and be responsible for a wide variety of actions and projects that will enable leadership to drive the business forward effectively. This position will also support the interface to our ISO Global Accounts executive team and leaders and our own Services team of vertical/geography leaders, Business Development Managers (BDMs), and technical sellers across our global community. In addition, you will engage with our product teams, operations teams, solutions and digital transformation teams, global process owners, and IT teams to drive projects to success.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for building and executing on worldwide strategies, focused on defining actions to improve product and sales performance and operationalizing sales programs and plays for our BDM’s and technical solutions managers.
  • Manage a portfolio of services sales programs for our SSG Global Accounts sales organization to execute strategic vision with our global sales community on all tactical activities and business initiatives.
  • Take a lead role with sales operations in creating, and at times, delivering critical business data such as executive BMS, strategic planning updates and organizational/team development data in support of the GA service leader and team.
  • Work closely with SSG Geo leadership and their teams to ensure strategic and operational alignment is maintained.
  • Closely align priorities to the ‘One Lenovo’ and Global accounts vertical strategies in order to help meet strategic and business goals.
  • Facilitate and manage the process of identifying, prioritizing, chartering, communicating, and managing key projects, in addition to a clear definition of what success looks like for each of these projects.
  • Works with the worldwide SSG offering and marketing teams to ensure our Global Accounts sales personnel has the needed offering enablement and collateral to drive success as well as identifying gaps and opportunities for expansion.
  • Using data driven analytics, partner with colleagues and cross functional teams worldwide to drive strategic sales growth, develop, implement, and improve upon sales programs and business management execution.
  • Understand key performance drivers and gaps including, but not limited to, product content, pricing, training, marketing, sales programs, and operations.
  • Responsible for providing input on product content, pricing, and operational delivery for new product development by participating in portfolio council interlocks and stage gate reviews.
  • Cross-functional collaboration to drive execution and best practices sharing.
  • Ability to navigate Lenovo and build great working relationships through collaboration, spanning product, sales, marketing, finance etc.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 8+ years of a combination of at least two of the following:  project management, services product management, and/or sales support for a technology company
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience working with global teams across cultural and time differences 
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to simplify and explain complex problems to stakeholders of all levels across multiple functions
  • Superior organizational skills and project/time management abilities, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
  • Analytical skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of information from multiple sources to draw conclusions.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, & decision-making skills, with the ability to inspire others to achieve a common objective
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills interacting with senior leadership teams
  • Collaborative approach to meeting business objectives and ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
