Role description

The global strategy analyst will be responsible for defining the business strategy within MBG (Motorola Business Group) and will support our service-led transformation in developing the strategy and drive its execution.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, business acumen and genuine interest to provide meaningful analysis that support the business in making decisions.

The global strategy analyst needs to be fluent in English (both written and oral) and is able to clearly articulate and identify business issues and opportunities, market dynamics,... using extensively tools such as PowerPoint and Excel. 

We are looking for a proactive professional who is driven and motivated to work in a very dynamic team environment. 


  • Support the development of Motorola’s business strategy, strategic initiatives and long-term plan

  • Support our services-led transformation strategy and execution

  • Track, manage and assist in driving the key strategic initiatives to closure, including supporting ongoing meetings with leadership and key stakeholders

  • Manage the execution of complex and time critical projects by quickly understanding context and developing a prioritized approach for resolution

  • Analyze market intelligence, develop competitive analysis and provide recommendations. E.g., Interact with external market analysts, analyze various data sources (market performance, pricing and technology trends) and leverage to inform strategies

  • Create executive-level presentations to support strategic recommendations

  • Create compelling presentations / communication materials for Motorola’s senior leadership team

  • Use analytical frameworks to support leadership in decision making

  • Help build business cases for new initiatives

Basic qualifications: 

  • Bachelors’ degree (business or engineering fields preferred) 

  • Work experience: minimum 3-5 years in a related role 

  • Very good English (both written and oral)

  • Excellent communication skills; confident story-teller with ability to deliver persuasive presentations

  • Highly proficient with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

  • Ability to define and frame business problems in a logical and structured manner

  • Very organized individual; passionate about managing mission critical projects

  • Works well under pressure in a very dynamic/fast-paced environment

  • Motivated self-starter that is comfortable working independently and in ambiguity


Preferred qualifications: 

  • Previous consulting experience or equivalent
