Description and Requirements

We are currently looking for a Junior Iberia HR Specialist to support our local team responsible for Spain and Portugal.

You will cover a diverse set of tasks, combining business and corporate compliance with the  local labor laws, and acts as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees, managers, extended HR team, and external partners. You will cover the entire employee life cycle fostering a healthy workplace by ensuring our HR procedures always run smoothly.

In the HR Specialist role you will:

  • Work closely with other EMEA teams (Payroll, Talent Acquisition, HR partners, Rewards, HRIS) to ensure that HR processes and policies are aligned with current local employment laws and known by employees.
  • Closely cooperate with the Talent Acquisition team and support the recruitment process and recruitment activities as needed.
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure efficient and timeous on-boarding of new employees. Support employees/managers with off-boarding procedures.
  • Provide support during the annual merit review process and other compensation programs in collaboration with EMEA C&B.
  • Manage employee benefits in coordination with EMEA Reward Team.
  • Manage HR Data and employee records: ensure effective maintenance of general HR administration (Org Charts, staff records, leave administration, contracts etc.). Process changes in employee status, job status, cost center changes, payment, etc.
  • Provide proactive guidance and counsel to managers and employees, using appropriate policies and regulations to ensure appropriate decision making.
  • Interlock with Payroll Shared Service Centre when needed. Support line managers in ensuring that payroll-related actions are undertaken timeously monthly and ensure data accuracy on the HRIS. Educate to line managers for them to manage and update their data on the HRIS.
  • Assist in workforce planning activities through headcount analysis and assessment of workforce productivity
  • Influence assigned organizations to continue to grow awareness, understanding, and active support of Lenovo’s unique diversity and inclusion practices.
  • Support the H&s wellness agenda through execution of various engagement and wellness activities
  • Culture: work to maintain and deepen the “Lenovo Way” culture.

Requirements

  • Very fluent in Spanish and English, Portuguese would be desirable.
  • Ability to connect with people and influence using maturity and solid arguments.
  • Solution and result oriented and capable to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Able to use collaboration skills as well as work individually.
  • Business oriented and able to understand organizational challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with some HR specialization.
  • Some previous experience in HR of as generalist, HRBP will be welcome.
