Description and Requirements:

This position is a hybrid work from office and home role. We are currently considering candidates who live in the Greater Toronto Area.

Lenovo is the fastest growing technology company on the planet with our growth outpacing our competition quarter after quarter. We are currently seeking high-performance; innovative and energetic candidates for our Human Resources Generalist opportunity to support our Canadian team. 

What You'll Do:

The HR Generalist will manage essential day-to-day HR responsibilities including but not limited to driving exceptional employee experience; assisting with the administration of benefits and retirement savings plans; talent attraction & development; global mobility; supporting the delivery of HR programs, processes, and overall statutory compliance.  


  • Participate in ongoing HR projects and initiatives
  • Plan and conduct new hire on-boarding while ensuring new hires and managers are fully knowledgeable and key objectives are met
  • Act as the main focal for all university/internship recruitment and relationships
  • Act as the Canadian focal to our Centre of Excellence groups including: Payroll; Compensation; Benefits; Talent and Attraction; HR Support; Learning & Development; HRIS and Health & Safety
  • Lead the full leave management process ensuring full internal and external compliance
  • Vendor Management administration
  • Review and conduct training and development as required
  • Identify new opportunities where HR can add value to the business

Position Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • University degree specializing in Human Resource Management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Competency across Microsoft applications and HRIS systems
  • Strong attention to detail; organizational abilities and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated success in building trusted relationships while maintaining confidentiality
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high degree of initiative, data accuracy with a results-oriented approach
  • Strong HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative
