Description and Requirements

Lenovo is looking for a Global Telco BDM for our International Sales Organization (ISO). The position is located in Spain and part of a global team that focuses on telecommunication service providers as Business Partners worldwide. The role includes a combination of a face-to-face engagement in front of the customer plus internally executing the won deals within Lenovo. Ideally, the candidate brings good knowledge of the Telco industry and respective business models. IN this role, you will be part of a true global, newly established Channel Telco Team at Lenovo to share ideas, best practices and learnings with the respective local channel organization.

Responsibilities Include: 

Strategy & Planning

Responsible to get aligned with the respective Geos and Global Accounts in order to develop a cooperative sales model based on internal account planning.
The BDM will interact closely with the Telco account to understand market needs and trends to then align with SSG and BGs to get their support in solution building.
The Telco is treated as a Global Channel Partner in a sell through/with motion. There is close coordination and alignment with the Geo and the GA Teams which will be reflected in the compensation plans.
Make sure that IDG, ISG, SSG, etc., are represented appropriately
Build customer knowledge -- ensure sales teams input customer knowledge through CRM tools

Sales 

Support specific projects and portfolio development for designated Accounts
Accompany partners to achieve and grow their revenue
Ensure alignment of sales programs within the Lenovo  portfolio
Bring innovative solutions to be sold through the designated Accounts

Marketing

Provide input to the integrated segment marketing organization about required support
Identify key individuals that marketing needs to touch in order to accomplish the plan

Management Leadership

Set high standards of performance for Lenovo Telco/GSI  team

Act as a liaison between Lenovo and the Channel partner to build long term relationships


Your Profile: 

  • Experience in the telco business in general and their respective strategy towards their end customers
  • Sales experience and a “never give up” attitude
  • Good knowledge of the datacenter and solutions business
  • Ability to build solutions leveraging the ISG Lenovo Portfolio
  • Understands competitive offerings and can differentiate the One Lenovo Offer
  • Ability to interact with CTOs, CIOS, SMEs.
  • Structured team player and dedication to this newly established incubation role of Telcos & Lenovo
  • Knowledge of the standard office and business tools, excellent Spanish and English as the working business language; Preferred location: Madrid Area
