Description and Requirements

The Telco Sales AE will provide sales and operational support for the Global Accounts’ organization covering North American telecommunications accounts. The AE will partner with the Global Account Managers (GAMs) to support sales activities while performing various functions such as: 

  • Working in close collaboration with the GAMs on business modeling, master agreement negotiation and general account management to drive key results
  • Achieving quarterly sell-out quota and gaining market share for Lenovo
  • Leading and assisting with the promotional planning and execution of new product launches, marketing plans, and sell-out initiatives along with end-of-life management
  • Tracking sales activities, drive actions needed to close sales, seek out, generate and close sales opportunities. 
  • Helping the internal team responsible for drafting, negotiating, and locking deal sheet/terms of each new product with each account
  • Driving & outlining forecasts from each account, help manage inventory levels, from launch through product end of life
  • Managing MDF Claims to ensure accuracy by verifying sell thru reporting on a weekly/monthly basis to minimize audit risk
  • Provide support for team projects, as needed
  • Travel to customer events and participate as needed (typical during non-pandemic)
  • Promoting "as a Service" consumption models TruScale in designated accounts/territory

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years relevant experience
  • Proven track record of technology sales growth and execution
  • Familiarity with both consumer and commercial buying and planning cycles
  • Understanding of telecommunication service provider dynamics
  • Experience in managing sell through, promotional funding and vendor programs with channel partners or communication service providers is highly preferred
  • Ability to foster collaboration among sales, business operations, marketing, finance, strategy and product development to enable ideas to be efficiently executed
  • Innovative and creative thinking to solve business problems with non-traditional solutions
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail and leadership skills to support collaboration across all levels of management and amongst all global colleagues
  • Experience with technical teams, marketing and business operations
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point experience
