Description and Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop the overall strategic platform for global internal communications. Craft and execute integrated internal communications plans for the corporation and its leadership. Play a key role in setting and achieving objectives for internal communications. - Provide regular and ongoing counsel to senior management throughout the company on internal communications strategies. Identify creative opportunities for senior management to communicate with internal audiences. - Develop strategy that addresses organizational change within this global company. Initiate appropriate internal communications programs in support of the business strategy.-Plan, lead and/or support major internal communications initiatives that cross multiple functions and georgraphies including global events (annual kickoffs, Global Leadership Team meetings, others as needed). - Counsel senior leadership on internal communications matters and develop an effective executive communications program. Develop talking points when necessary. - Develop platforms and write speeches and presentations for C-level executives for both internal and external audiences. - Ensure consistent messaging in all corporate employee communications vehicles, leveraging the full array of communications solutions (face-to-face, electronic, print and broadcast). - Manage the company’s intranet, which includes content for all employees as well as specialized pages/resources for the global sales teams. - Drive mission, strategy, culture and brand deeply into employee base. - Identify opportunities for the effective use of corporate meetings, video, electronic media and print publications and facilitate their production when employed. - Create and implement ongoing strategic metrics, both qualitative and quantitative, to measure success. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor’s degree required; a minimum of 10-12 years of strategic employee communications. Experience in executive communications desirable. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment, with all levels of employees, in a team-oriented environment. - A keen understanding of all types of vehicles that will effectively tell the Lenovo story to internal audiences. Ability to present often complex information in a clear and compelling manner. - Strategic communications planner and a significant hands-on contributor, with superior writing and communications skills. Ability to manage a number of programs/projects simultaneously. - Energetic self-starter; willing to take initiative with confidence. - Must be creative, persuasive and diplomatic in presenting ideas and managing their implementation. - Outstanding people management skills with a proven ability to help employees develop and contribute to their full potential. Ability to bring in freelancers , and manage their effectiveness, when necessary. - A proven team player, who thrives in a collaborative setting and possesses a confident management style and leadership ability; evidence of discretion and tact in dealing with people and issues.
