Description and Requirements

A Software Business Development Manager for Lenovo will be responsible for:

  • Participate in defining and executing the strategic initiatives defined by the LA 4P/Distribution team, aligned with the Vmware Alliance.
  • Be accountable for the LA Vmware software revenue generated by the alliance for the distribution business. Manage the sales reporting and automated quoting tool  analysis.
  • Support the TopSelller & Automated Quoting Tool (LBP-E) Vmware Portfolio development and optimization aligning the best product offering and discounts to be offered through our channels.
  • Support the Incentives definition and execution tracking for Vmware through channels
  • Be the voice of Lenovo-Vmware and evangelize the product vs competitive alternatives. Support the training initiatives for the channel ecosystem.

Position Requirements:

  • Must be well versed in Virtualization and cloud technologies.
  • Vmware Solutions Portfolio knowledge.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Software Sales Manager or Software Product Manager with a strong track record of success in selling software licensing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solutions and Sales background, with experience in SMB  Products/Distribution
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Have a diploma/degree in Sales, Marketing , Engineering  or related field.
  • Minimum Intermediate English language Skills
  • MS Excel & Dynamics knowledge to be able to manage pipeline/forecasting reporting.
