Description and Requirements

Lenovo’s iconic ThinkPad brand is the best-selling business laptop of all time. Over the last 15 years, Lenovo has relentlessly innovated and tested devices to deliver on our promise of purposeful design and trusted quality. Our commercial marketing team is looking for a self-driven marketing leader to launch halo ThinkPad devices globally, driving ThinkPad brand affinity with Gen Z and Millennials, creating desire for connected 5G ThinkPad devices amongst IT decision makers, and preparing our sales forces to drive high impact conversations with customers. The ideal candidate will have proven experience launching 360 degree marketing campaigns, with a strong focus on social and modern digital media formats. We will consider applicants with a background in product marketing and setting go to marketing strategy. 

The Marketing Communications Manager will oversee a multi-million dollar marketing budget, from which they must define and execute a global launch strategy for select halo ThinkPads. This should include digital content campaigns, social and influencer programs, event participation, sales enablement, training, and co-marketing programs with industry partners. This is a global and cross-functional role, driving a critical piece of Lenovo’s $50B business. 

Responsibilities: 
• Work with global marketing stakeholders to create highly engaging marketing campaigns that drive awareness & consideration for Millennial and older Gen Z audiences, and full funnel tactics against IT Decision Makers 
• Develop and execute digital-first marketing campaigns. Target customers based on insights drawn from audience and market trend research, across the customer decision journey. 
• Drive desire for connected technology in business via 5G-enabled use cases. 
• Be the central communications point to the GEO marketing team for ThinkPad brand related marketing activities. 
• Ensure design, branding, and tone are consistent across all integrated campaigns 
• Work closely with ThinkPad Product Marketing Manager to align consistent end to end ThinkPad messaging.
• Skilled creative agency management 
• Ability to quickly build consensus among the GEO organizations and business partners and stakeholders. 
• Strong metrics-based planning skills are a must. Track and report on ROI and other metrics regarding overall marketing performance. 
• Ability to be flexible and handle new task quickly and decisively. 
• Partners management (Intel & MSFT) and POP (proof of performance) process for reimbursement • SOW management between procurement & Agency 
• Travel requirements as needed 
• Work closely with the ThinkStation and Solutions marketing teams to drive joint engagements where required. 
• Manage and report on an annual budget 

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field 
• Minimum 5 years of marketing or agency experience and proven track record executing successful B2B marketing programs 
• Experience working in a global company / reaching global audiences 
• Experience writing compelling creative briefs and managing a creative agency 
• Ability to understand complex solutions and translate them into simple, actionable messages. 
• Advanced Powerpoint skills, proficient with Excel 
• Direct and effective communication 
• Strong attention to detail and results oriented 
• Strong organizational, project management, analytical and quantitative skills 
• The ideal candidate would be a resourceful, self-motivated individual willing to be flexible and adapt to changing requirements when needed 
• Candidates must have strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications: - Paid Media experience - Experience in marketing connected technology / 5G - Experience with database management, email marketing, marketing automation systems, and CRM systems, - Experience in social media marketing highly desired - Technology background in either hardware or software highly
