Who do we need on our team

We are hiring for the position of NA Smart Retail Solutions Consultant aligned to our Vertical Solutions team responsible for leading Smart Retail Business Development in NA.

As a NA Smart Retail Solutions Consultant, you will lead and develop the sales strategy with a focus on driving excellence in product and platform strategy and sales execution. You will work in close collaboration with various teams within Lenovo’s Retail Business Unit (e.g., Business Managers, Sales Leaders, Product Managers.) and key Global Business Unit leaders and owner/stakeholders across the organization. Your role will require experience building Retail Solution sales strategies, developing customer engagements, Retail partner alignment and building business capabilities that enable our channel sales community.  All which align to Lenovo Retail Solutions NA GTM.

  • Lead, build and develop the Smart Retail sales strategy for the focus categories of point of sale, Mobile payment solutions, kiosks and electronic shelf label, Retail store IT services and Retail store infrastructure
  • Define the partner network for each focus category and build sales alignment around collaborative Smart Retail Solutions. Alignment should accelerate GTM and build co-branded solutions. Be a communicator.
  • Guide optimal sales approach on how to best achieve a wholistic Smart Retail solution in sync with our partners and focused on customer outcomes.  Be a leader.
  • Manage interdependencies across Channel Partner/Reseller community. Build enablement to help develop Smart Retail sales opportunities from our partners. Be a problem solver.
  • Advocate for Lenovo Smart Retail Solutions though speaking engagements, onsite business partner meetings, industry events and direct customer engagements.  Be an influencer.
  • Maintain a detailed, customer specific cadence for sales opportunities and forecasts

Who will you be working with

You will report to the Sr. Manager, Vertical Solutions Team to ensure alignment with Lenovo Global Smart Retail Solutions, business unit goals and strategies.

You will be responsible for working closely with the Retail Solutions business unit on developing sales strategies in line with our Retail focus categories.  The position manages customer and partner engagements and builds Retail Solutions in collaboration with our extended teams.  You will work extensively with all Lenovo sales teams and internal organizations including NA Brand Teams, WW Product Teams, Channel Sales teams and Executive Leadership.

What do you need to bring

You should be skilled in business development, sales management, Retail technology, a structured and data-driven thinker and have excellent interpersonal skills. Experience enabling business capabilities and designing strategic sales initiatives will be critical. You should be comfortable interacting with Retail customers, product managers, solution partners and sales leaders. Additionally, you should be a skilled communicator with experience forming alliances and bringing together multiple stakeholders to execute on a common mission.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A combination of relevant Retail experience, education, and training
  • Retail Technology Solutions experience in a sales environment
  • A minimum of 10 years’ directly relevant work experience
