Description and Requirements

The Lenovo North America VMware Business Manager is an internal position that manages the processes associated with selling all VMware Products within the Lenovo Sales Processes. This Position manages a quarterly business plan working within a defined Campaign process that sets budgets and approves budget and dependencies. Position works extensively with all Sales Teams and organizations including the NA Brand Teams, WW Product Teams, Channel Sales and Finance.

This role drives and manages a quarterly segment campaign in many key areas:

  • Works with Sales to define and execute a quarterly campaign strategy with objectives and goals by product, route, partner and segment. 
  • Sets plan to beat targets. 
  • Drives incremental demand gen programs working with Internal and External Partners Manages VMware Pipeline and Pricing Process.
  • Owns expertise the ‘Pricing’ Process. Ensures competitive winning pricing flows to Customers.
  • Owns Pipeline Strategy. Tracks current and future quarter pipeline.
  • Creates Business Development and Technical Support processes to increase Lenovo VMware win rate. 
  • Creates access to internal and external support. 
  • Owns Weekly Communication. 
  • Works to deliver key Product Updates. 
  • Has a Calendar of timely messages and programs that incent sales and increase Awareness throughout the quarter. 
  • Channel Development Manager. 
  • Works with Key Partner Product Managers to proactively communicate Business Plans and coordinate promotional spend. 
  • Understands sales trends and competitive landscape at the Partners.
Requirements: 
  • Knowledge and/or familiarity of the VM product offering set 
  • Demonstrated experience in technical sales environment 
  • Experience working in the channel 
  • Strong interpersonal skills & keen attention to details 
  • Ability to manage through influence and negotiation 
  • Strong verbal (presentation) and written communication
