What You'll Do: 
The OEM Lead Architect will engage with OEM customers, partners, sales, and Lenovo product teams to evaluate, understand, and drive technical requirements for complex OEM solution offerings. While Lenovo’s OEM business leverages its existing portfolio of products, there are many opportunities to customize and develop new offerings for unique OEM solutions, and the role of the Lead Architect will help OEM customers and sales teams evaluate and understand what is possible and how best to execute on technical solution requirements. The Lead Architect will also develop technical relationships with key alliance partners, suppliers, and integrators in the ecosystem to ensure Lenovo is in the best technical posture to meet the needs of the market. The Lead Architect will have responsibility for requirements input to Lenovo product development teams and will engage in specific testing and certifications for the OEM business. This OEM Lead Architect position is a technical pre-sales/relationship role supporting Lenovo's OEM sales teams. You will be a technical solutions adviser as customers look to Lenovo to develop solutions to address their business needs. You will be integral to the sales teams for opportunity identification, solution planning/design, and all technical elements of the sales opportunity. You are Lenovo's technical arbiter with the customer, external partners, and with our internal teams.   

Position Requirements: 
1.    Bachelor of Science degree or greater in an engineering discipline 
2.    10 - 12 years industry experience 
3.    Gather and understand customer technical requirements through communications with customer, sales team, and OEM solution architects 
4.    Evaluate customer requirements against Lenovo & competitor offerings to understand gaps within our products to suggest value added features for future products offerings   
5.    Understand emerging technologies and products and Lenovo's strategies to address them 
6.    Engage with HW development teams during product planning and development 
7.    Engage / assist with complex customer POC’s 
8.    Assist with debugging customer issues during pre-sales engagements 
9.    Train & work with Lab engineers to test/ validate new OEM features added to our products  
10.    Train solution architect to understanding & communicate new features to customers 
11.    PC hardware & BIOS / firmware architecture knowledge highly desired 
12.    Passion for researching new PC technologies, using industry knowledge and creativity to come up with unique product ideas 
13.    Excellent, professional verbal and written communication skills 
14.    Ability to travel 5%
