Description and Requirements
The OEM Sales Intern will assist the OEM field sales team in several areas including: Opportunity Identification, Opportunity key contact identification, Account and prospect research, Identifying Companies that develop OEM solutions in key target industries to accelerate the acquisition sales cycles of the field sales team.
The Intern will interact with the individual sales members and their managers to develop key information and contacts for each individual sales territory. Additionally, the intern will also have the opportunity to reach out and call on prospects to gouge interest and schedule appointments for the field sales team.
Basic Qualifications:
- Applicant must be a student enrolled at an accredited university.
- Availability from early June to end of July.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Someone who is high energy, outgoing, willing to bring in new ideas.
- Preferred areas of study in Business Administration, Sales/Professional Selling, Finance, Marketing, or related field
- Desire to pursue a career in sales, prior experience in sales or entrepreneurial is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
- Professional maturity, strong work ethic, ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.
- Ability to take initiative, drive for results and collaborate effectively with people in sales functions.
- Ability to influence decisions through a sense of urgency and drive.
- Previous experience giving a sales pitch.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
