Job Description & Requirements
We’re looking for Software Engineer for our OpenBMC initiative within the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) at Lenovo. In this role you will be working with software engineers to design, develop, test, debug and document an OpenBMC stack for Lenovo servers.  Your specialization is around kernel and device drivers.
Role
You will provide design, develop and maintaining to Lenovo’s OpenBMC stack.
You will participate in designing, developing, and maintaining the Linux Kernel/device driver for OpenBMC.
You will participate in collaborative planning calls and status meetings.
Required Qualifications:
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar degree or related software equivalent experience.
10+ years’ experience in BMC Firmware development.
10+ years of experience with hands-on kernel/device driver development.
Expertise with Intel and/or AMD x86 system architectures.
Good knowledge of industry standards: IPMI, KCS, PCI/PCIe, SPD, SMBIOS, PWM, ADC, MCTP, IPMB, PMBus, CFFV4.
Thermal experience (Fan algorithm interaction; integrate power police with Intel ME or SPS off road (NM-PTU/PMEM).
