The PR&Event Specialist is responsible for Lenovo’s communications and event strategy to further build the brand in line with the business objectives. This role ensures a strategic approach and proactive communication in order to keep people engaged with Lenovo and how Lenovo is progressing towards its strategic goals. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the PR&Event Specialist will work collaboratively with Sales, Senior Leadership and Executives.

What will you do?

Strategic / corporate communications (20%):

  • Develop and execute PR and Social Media strategies and programs in support of business objectives
  • business and culture via interviews, press conferences & earnings briefings for executives

Tactical communications (20%):

  • Prepare and execute press launch activities, press tours and media round tables
Source and maintain relationships with key traditional media, local industry leaders/analysts and media like social influencers

Lenovo owned events (40%)

  • Organize Lenovo owned conferences / events E2E
  • Reflect the strategic / corporate direction in conception and execution of events to establish a memorable event with strong business impact and lead value
  • Manage the whole process from planning, concept, running the event and post-event evaluation

Back office (20%)

  • Manage and monitor the budget, adhering to financial guidelines, managing the corporate financial system and ensuring value for money - including yearly/quarterly budget spend tracking with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Deliver quarterly/annual marketing plans to meet KPIs, aligned to strategic objectives and within budget
  • Develop and execute quarterly marketing tactics with our retailers and resellers in close alignment with Lenovo sales and product management
  • Control retailers and resellers advertisements with Lenovo solutions

Who are you?

  •  +5 years of experience in PR, Social and Event Marketing in a fast moving, international IT industry - or similar industries. Agency background is desirable
  • IT industry
  • You have a track record in events / conference planning and execution including negotiating with agencies and sponsors
  • Knowledge of the Austrian Tech- & IT-Industry is a plus
  • Results-driven with committed and passionate executing
  • Efficient and reliable project & budget management, including excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with accuracy and keen attention to detail, German being your first language
