About Our Team

The Performance Virtualization - Benchmark Engineer is a key component of Lenovo's new product introduction within the ISG (Infrastructure Solutions Group) development team. 

The engineer in this role will be focused on Lenovo’s benchmarks activities involving virtualization. This position requires an applied knowledge and experience with VMware and/or Citrix, Windows Hyper-V and Kvm products. In addition, the success candidate will possess the ability to diagnose and identify issue relate to the OS along with an understanding of virtualization OS function and feature.


What You'll Do

Lenovo ISG’s Virtualization Benchmark engineer will be responsible for delivering World Record performance benchmarks on Lenovo servers as recognized by SPEC.org and VMmark. 

This position will require work and collaboration with OS vendors and benchmarking agencies to ensure a clear understand of OS features along with analyzing and issues / problem that may be encountered during benchmarking activities. The individual in this role will be expected to provide support for pre-sales and post-sales customer engagements where server virtualization performance expertise needed, along with creating technical collateral in the form of white papers and tips to aid Customers and Lenovo’s Sales and Marketing with server’s capabilities.


Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years experience with Virtualization OS development or solution
  • Knowledge and experience with VMware and/or Citrix, Windows Hyper-V and Kvm product
  • Server architecture knowledge and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering, or similar technical discipline
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with OS vendors and benchmarking agencies
