Description and Requirements

Pre-Sales Snr Technical Specialist's primary role is to:

  • Engage in the Sales Process and provide appropriate technical support to their Business Development Manager (BDM) community through Proof of Concepts and pilots
  • Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the relevant vertical solution offerings relative to their expertise and country revenue targets.
  • Assist their aligned Business Development Managers or Solution Architect in the Recruitment, onboarding, support and enablement of service provider partners across relevant vertical solution offerings.
  • In the absence of an aligned BDM, provide guidance to Sales Account Executives and Marketing stakeholders ensuring the right message is clear and relevant to existing and potential customers.
  • Drive E2E Solution enablement in each GEO and down to countries level with the support of Offer Development team. Provide GEO feedback and guidance to ensure all areas of Solution Readiness to Sell is delivered.


Key Responsibilities

  • Attach to 75% (minimum) of Net New Opportunities in the Sales Process by providing Proof of Concept support at the 60% stage of the sale process. This will be achieved by: Working with existing service partners, Working with GEO Product Marketing Qualified Leads from marketing campaigns, Utilize networking skills and industry associations
  • Use in-depth product & program knowledge to provide technical expertise, working closely with BDMs to engage with and recruit service partners (as needed): Work with All GEO BDMs and SSA to gather leads and work together with SSA to solution and POC or Pilot solution first implementation.
  • Support SSA with the on-boarding of new service partners: Walk partners through value proposition of our offerings.
  • Ensure Service partner has technical escalation point and develop skill development plans with these partners
  • Ensure service partners have successfully completed offering Onboarding program.
  • Enable partners: work with SSA/ BDMs to ensure that the technical resources within the service partner are capable of covering the technical details; provide IT advice to help customers meet business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver high quality presale/Technical enablement and demonstrations for customers; present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall service solutions.
  • Share account insight, prospects and market feedback to the BDMs/ SSA to enable them to provide Sales Forecasting and timely reporting to the Sales Leads.
  • Ensure administration and documentation of internal business development relative to responsibilities for the Business Continuity stream. This includes entering and maintaining contact, opportunity and activity records in CRM and providing regular reporting to ensure all policies and standards are always followed.


Experience and Qualification

  • Mandatory - 5-8 years in a similar role with technical consulting experience;
  • Highly desirable - Experience in ITSM support, Microsoft solution selling; experience in a fast-growing, small to medium business to enterprise customers.

Education

  • Bachelor of IT, Engineering, Business or similar
  • Professional Training and Certification
  • A record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable sales role.
  • Product certification, engineering credential, or equivalent technical credential.
  • PC proficiency
