Product Manager, Payments Platforms
Overview:
We are seeking a technically strong Product Manager, to support Lenovo.com global eCommerce. This role focuses on defining and driving payment technology across platforms and providers, partnering closely with DT/IT, engineering teams, and external vendors. The role will sit within the Global Payments team, contributing technical expertise and recommendations that drive solutions design and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Product Management: Define technical requirements and acceptance criteria for new payment capabilities and provider integrations, lead cross‑functional teams through execution and delivery, and ensure alignment across internal teams and external partners while mitigating risks
- End-to-End Payment Flows: Document and validate payment flows (authorization, capture, refunds, chargebacks, settlement and reconciliation dependencies) to ensure consistent implementation across all geos and channels.
- Testing & Readiness: Partner with business stakeholders, testers and IT to establish test approach, data needs, and rollout readiness for new integrations and payment experiences.
- Performance & Reliability Inputs: Define and document success measurements (e.g., payment success rates, error categories, etc.) and support requirements with analytics and business teams.
- Enablement & Documentation: Create and maintain integration, technical & process related documents, that accelerate the onboarding and expansion of new payment technologies.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in eCommerce payments, fintech, or related product roles.
Preferred Requirements:
- Strong understanding of online payment concepts and system integrations (PCI DSS, APIs, webhooks, tokenization, payment gateways/PSPs/acquirers, alternative payment methods, etc.).
- Proven ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and drive alignment across IT, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Experience working in complex, multi-region environments and collaborating across time zones.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly and effectively to executive audiences.
This position requires candidates to be based near our headquarters in Morrisville, NC and adhere to a 3:2 hybrid work schedule. This means three days on-site for in-person collaboration and two days remote each week, ensuring flexibility while maintaining strong team engagement.
