Description and Requirements
The LATAM PMO – Project Coordinator (ARS) is responsible for coordinating and executing ARS projects across Latin America, managing the full project lifecycle (planning, execution, tracking, control, and closure) and ensuring alignment with the LATAM PMO and the Sustainability team.
This role serves as the regional ARS subject matter expert (SME), facilitating coordination with extended teams (internal and external), consolidating information, preparing reports, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
In addition, during periods of lower ARS demand, the role will support other regional projects as needed, and provide operational/administrative support (e.g., creating purchase orders and coordinating customer invoicing processes) in partnership with the relevant teams.
Responsibilities
End-to-end ARS project management (LATAM)
- Coordinate and execute the ARS process/project end-to-end across Latin America (not limited to Mexico), ensuring scope, timelines, and deliverables are met.
- Build and maintain the project plan, schedule, risk/dependency log, and action tracking through closure.
- Consolidate regional information, provide status visibility, and ensure data quality/consistency for reporting and decision-making.
Regional collaboration and alignment
- Work closely with the LATAM PMO and the Sustainability team to ensure methodological alignment, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Act as the regional ARS focal point (SME), answering questions, standardizing practices, and enabling process adoption.
- Drive follow-ups with extended (multi-country) teams to secure progress, remove blockers, and manage escalations when required.
Support for regional initiatives and operational activities
- Support other regional projects based on demand and business priorities (planning, tracking, coordination, and reporting).
- Provide support for purchase order creation and customer invoicing processes, coordinating required inputs and follow-up with the involved teams.
- Prepare executive reports and presentations (e.g., monthly reviews) with a strong data focus, trends, and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree completed (Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Sustainability, or related field).
- 3+ years of experience in project coordination/project administration and/or procurement roles with a strong project management profile.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) to communicate with regional and global stakeholders.
- Intermediate/advanced Excel; strong data orientation, numerical analysis skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication; ability to coordinate extended teams in a matrix environment.
- Proactive and tenacious; able to drive follow-ups, manage open items, and ensure closure.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in a regional PMO, procurement, operational finance, or customer billing/invoicing.
- Knowledge/experience in Sustainability topics and managing related initiatives.
- Portuguese (preferred).
- Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) and dashboard management.
- Availability for occasional travel within LATAM (if applicable).
