Description and Requirements

Position Description:

The Sales Manager Distribution Data Center (m/f/d) is responsible for a group of Sales Representatives selling Lenovo offerings with a special focus on our data center product portfolio (hardware, software, services).

Together with the team you manage relationships to data center distribution partners, build up the landscape of unmanaged partner business in conjunction with the distributors and provides sales enablement for the whole Channel Organization.

An important focus of this role will be to lead the team in times of change and to make the distribution landscape ready to scale the data center business with Lenovo.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

As a people manager of a highly dynamic team, you will

  • Provide leadership and coaching your team in successful account management, in driving SOW growth and implementation and execution of strategic initiatives to accomplish the Lenovo360 mission.
  • Own successful people and team development

Thru your team you will be responsible for:

  • Team Sales quota attainment of assigned Distributors in Germany and Austria.
  • Articulate Lenovo’s 360 value proposition
  • Establish and manage and maintain relationships with Distributors – at executive, management, product manager and sales representative level
  • Successfully apply business intelligence and understand how markets and competitors will influence the selling of Lenovo products and services
  • Ensure the resellers understand and can successfully promote the Lenovo product set and successfully apply partner program by providing a tailored channel sales enablement.

Position Requirements:              

  • Master Degree in Economics, Management and/or Technical subject or comparable professional experience.
  • Managerial experience and experience to guide, coach and manage teams in times of change.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of an organization, including at CXO level.
  • Understanding and in-depth knowledge of products and services, industry trends, and competition.
  • You must be a team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You should be able to identify business opportunities and act on them and bring to fruition.
  • You possess an excellent track record of sales achievements.
  • You have an entrepreneurial approach and you will be able to work on challenges targets.
