Description and Requirements

Can you manage, design, develop and coordinate training programs across 35 countries/10 territories, covering our key business segments? Do you know how to work with leaders to identify training needs, mapping out development plans for sales teams and sales management?

As our new Sales Training Skills Development Manager you will oversee all sales professional development for EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa), to interlock with key leaders to understand the strategic priorities, build and deliver successful trainings to support Lenovo’s goals and transformation to be a Solutions and Services led organization.

What will be your responsibilities?

Sales Curriculum trainings

  • Map out all sales training needs by conducting and working closely with management, HR, sales teams and all relevant departments
  • Manage overall EMEA Sales Training budgeting and ensure smooth collaboration with vendors
  • Vendor assessment and selection
  • Conduct Geo-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
  • Design and develop sales training programs (outsourced and/or in-house)
  • Select appropriate training methods or activities
  • Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques
  • Drive the adoption and engagement with the Accreditation process post training, ensuring the participants are well informed and supported
  • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials
  • Assess instructional effectiveness & determine the impact of training on employee skills & KPIs
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
  • Research and recommend new training methods, like gamification

Sales Career Development Pathway

  • Build and maintain an EMEA Blueprint on Sales Career Development Path in alignment with HR processes, and reflecting different sales roles
  • Ensure adoption and coordination between sales development and IDP (Individual Development Plan)
  • Ensure awareness and adoption of the Career Development Path inside sales community


What do we expect from you?

  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understand Sales Environment
  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple events in a corporate setting
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
  • Experience in and ability to project manage - assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
  • Ideally experience with e-learning platforms
  • Fluent English
  • Experience of the Lenovo environment might be an advantage
  • Experience or ability to develop as a trainer will be appreciated

  • Note valid for Slovakia only: Base gross monthly salary from 1600 EUR and above, depending on experience + variable part
