Description and Requirements

Lenovo’s Industry Solutions organization has an opportunity for a Senior Platform Product Manager.  In this role you will design, build, and maintain a SaaS platform to manage and run IoT and other solutions at scale.  You will drive the platform vision end-to-end and collaborate with industry solution managers and our service team to define requirements for specific solutions.  You will work closely with the design and engineering teams to bring these solutions to life.  We are looking for someone with leadership experience in Agile product development in a software / multi-tenant SaaS context.

Candidates should have a startup mindset that thrives in ambiguity and enjoys the challenge of wearing multiple hats in a small team, but who also has also worked in a global environment and can produce outcomes in a large enterprise setting.

What you will do:

  • Lead strategic planning efforts and define the product roadmap.
  • Serve as the Agile product management leader across multiple products.
  • Work with internal teams, clients, and partners to understand and capture business requirements for the product roadmap.
  • Translate business requirements into use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work with Engineering to clarify requirements, develop estimates, and conduct planning.
  • Represent the end user during the development lifecycle.
  • Keep internal stakeholders apprised of product initiatives through roadmap presentations and other forums. 
  • Incorporate feedback and input from customers, partners and in-house teams on product strategy and finding ways to expand product market reach.
  • Lead product managers and coordinate with engineering, services, marketing and other cross functional teams.

Basic  Requirements

·        Undergraduate degree in business, computer science or related field

·        9+ years’ experience in a Product Strategy or Product Management discipline in a Software environment

·        1+ years’ experience as a Product Leader in a ‘start-up’ entity, or an ‘incubation’ environment within a larger corporate structure

·       2+ years’ experience with cloud computing and IoT

·       2+ years’ experience leading agile environments and experience writing and helping team members generate use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases.

Preferred Experience:

·        Experience with various product management, strategy, and product development frameworks

·       Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making

·       Track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle, including Market Research and Analysis & Customer Feedback, Opportunity Assessment, Business Case development, Product Roadmap and Prioritization Development, and Ideation.

·       Strong analytical skills are a must, including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information

·       Strong leadership and team-building skills, including ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams with design, product and engineering.

·       Experience validating of potential product ideas, e.g. Minimum Viable Product (MVP) / Rapid Deployment

·       Experience and understanding of human-centered design principles and how to translate customer input to digital solutions which include hardware, software, and services component.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Strong bias toward action and performance; proven success in delivering against expectations and objectives

·        Understands Managed Services business concepts

·        Loves working in a collaborative fashion with others on the team

·        Demonstrated ability to work in highly dynamic, fast paced environment across organizational geographies

·        Capacity to break down complex technical topics into clear, digestible information.

·        Global experience and demonstrated ability to work with - and across - diverse cultures

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills

·        Excellent organization and project management skills
