We are looking for a social media associate who challenges the ordinary, seeks to innovate in learning, and can advance brand storytelling through creative social media campaigns that engage, inform, and educate our customers and followers.

The Lenovo North America Communications and Events team creates innovative brand stories, builds and enhances corporate reputation and brand equity, and engages North America stakeholders such as media, consumers, ITDMs, analysts and investors, regulators, and policymakers. The team focuses on engagement, inspiration and connection to accelerate the growth of Lenovo. They also spark conversation, help envision the possibilities, influence public perception, and deliver new levels of creative and strategic thinking to advance the brand reputation in the United States and Canada.

We are looking for a Social Media Associate to join the North America Communications Team who can help develop the social media strategy and execute supporting tactics to enhance the reputation of the Lenovo brand, its leading products, and its executives as thought leaders in tech innovation across North America. The role will report directly to the Sr. Communications Manager and is an ideal position for someone with a background in social media and marketing with excellent written and oral communication skills, ensuring a full understanding of social media strategy, drafting, execution, and reporting. An ideal candidate is one comfortable and competent managing multiple campaigns, communicating with internal stakeholders, and providing creative direction and strategy for optimal performance. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position will support multiple strategic priorities: Brand storytelling, content creation, and thought leadership across consumer and commercial businesses.
  • Lead social media management for Lenovo executives, including overseeing content curation and publishing.
  • Advise executives on social best practices, field content requests, and establish editorial calendars.
  • Assist in executing social campaigns that ladder back to business objectives, ensuring accurate brand presence and infusion of product-centric content with authentic storytelling.
  • Establish transparent lines of communication and partnership with cross-functional teams and agencies to ensure alignment and operational efficiency.
  • Expand reach of top-performing social content via internal channels and amplification.
  • Co-manage the relationship with social agencies to execute social campaign and execution strategies.
  • Cultivate relationships with internal verticals and collaborate with them on curating campaign and promotional content adhering to organic content standards as appropriate.
  • Assist in overseeing internal campaign activations with social components related to eCommerce and dotcom, leveraging paid assets for organic as appropriate.
  • Assist in partnership social management and strategy creation as well as identifying opportunities for partnership interactions across other geos.
  • Cultivate collaboration between owned social channels and internal teams and seek opportunities for employee-facing activations and amplification opportunities.
  • Establish engagement-first and follower acquisition social strategies to integrate into organic social feeds.
  • Collaborate with PR, internal comms, community engagement, and partnership teams as well as colleagues across business sectors to ensure consistency and alignment in storytelling.
  • Work with marketing and business sectors to co-create social campaigns that build brand awareness and develop customer-centric stories around the products and verticals they support.
  • Regularly track performance against quarterly and annual KPI’s and report to marketing leadership.

Required Skills:

  • The candidate for this role should be an excellent writer; project manager and have an eye and attention for detail. A self-starter attitude is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage agencies and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong time and project management skills - with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan effectively to meet deadlines.


  • BA degree ideally in journalism, communications, English, or media studies. 
  • Up to 1 year of previous work experience gained within the social media, brand management, or PR field.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Prior experience working in/with the technology industry is preferred.
  • Experience supporting social strategy for C-suite level executives is a plus.
